On the occasion of World Multiple Sclerosis Day, next May 30, Fundación GAEM organizes a virtual charity run, within the campaign Yo doy mis pasos. The aim is to spread knowledge about multiple sclerosis and to raise funds por the foundation research projects. The run can be done between the 30th of May and the 12th of June. Registration is available here.
In solidarity with the victims of the war in Ukraine and other armed conflicts, the GAEM Foundation will donate 15% of the profits collected to the emergency action funds of Médecins Sans Frontières.
Yo doy mi pasos is a solidarity and awareness campaign that Fundación GAEM started in 2019 with the aim of raising awareness about multiple sclerosis and collecting funds to finance biomedical research projects.
Yo doy mis pasos has more than 38,000 people registered, including MS Sufferers, sportspeople, runners and athletes, as well as physically active people who record their routes on Strava or with their smart watch or mobile phone, thus joining this movement to raise awareness.
A number of companies and institutions have also joined the campaign, making donations for the runs made by their collaborators.
The campaign consists of recording the steps we take on a daily basis, when we run, train, ride a bicycle, or simply go for a walk, and uploading them to the website www.yodoymispasos.es.
The Fundación GAEM is a non-profit organisation, made up of patients and dedicated to promoting biomedical research into multiple sclerosis, and to informing those affected and those around them about scientific advances in this field.
