GAEM Foundation’s ‘Múltiple Esclerosis online’ portal has been awarded at the second edition of the Awards “We are Patients” (Somos Pacientes). These awards recognize the effort, dedication, talent and imagination of patient associations during the year in offering assistance, services and solutions to its partners and society in general.
“ME online” has won the Jury Award as the “Best Web Development or Application” in the ‘Patient Category’.
This award represents for GAEM Foundation a great recognition of its “EM online” project. The mission of EM online is to foster and promote research and knowledge about Multiple Sclerosis in society in general, as well as to provide social care and advice to patients and families about various topics, such as: scientific research, psychology and psychiatry, disease conditions and direct care.
The “We are Patients” Awards are convoked by the Farmaindustria Foundation through the association Somos Pacientes, an online community of patients and disabled people. Somos Pacientes brings together more than 1,650 entities related to cancer, leukodystrophy, rare pediatric diseases, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and diabetes. The online community offers a shared space of information, participation, training, services and collaborative work to all these organizations.
